We are now looking for a Country EHS Subject Matter Expert, to deliver comprehensive Health & Safety Leadership for Indonesia, coordinate responsibilities to meet business needs and ensure compliance with EHS requirements and procedures.

This position reports to the Head of EHS in the Market Area.

Purpose of Job Role

Provide leadership in the comprehensive Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) support for Indonesia and the relevant organization.

Potential Job Role Performance Metrics

  • Decrease number of incidents and the severity of incidents
  • Reduce work related ill-health.
  • Minimize OHS risks and environmental negative impacts.
  • Minimized NC findings across all audits

Tools & Resources

EHS Incident reporting tool, EHS Global Legal Register Tool (GLeRT), SCR dashboards including Incidents and Own Activities, Ericsson Learning & Development structure.

Responsibilities:

  • You will deploy local, Market Area (MA) EHS Policy and Group Directives
  • Define and implement the local and MA EHS programs and secure adherence to local, MA and Group strategy and targets
  • Supervise, control and report EHS performance to the Indonesia Leadership Team, and Market Area EHS Head as required
  • Provide functional EHS expertise to Indonesia business and associated projects
  • Manage Indonesia EHS Governance internal and customer meetings supporting the Indonesia LT and CU Head

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: A recognized formal OHS qualification e.g. degree or diploma (Example Post Grad / Degree and MSc in OHS Health and Safety Management or NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or other recognized certification.)
  • Proven demonstrated ability in a similar role in EHS Leadership and Contractor Management
  • Experience in local regulatory matters pertaining to EHS and handling EHS reporting systems
  • Experience in addressing the local leadership, customers and on relevant EHS matters
  • Acquire, review and trend ISO, internal and external audit data
  • Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility skills
  • OHS knowledge and skills in a Country leadership role
  • Experience crafting, maintaining, and analyzing EHS statistical training data.
  • High standard of computer proficiency, including proficiency of all Microsoft Office products.
  • Writing detailed reports and conducting investigations into EHS related matters
  • Change & Improvement Leadership skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Review subcontractor EHS statistical performance data and EHS programs initially and periodically against Ericsson and Ericsson Clients minimum performance requirements for subcontractors
  • Approve Subcontractors that meet or exceed minimal performance requirements
  • Develop and build positive relationships with Ericsson personnel, customers, subcontractors, and tower owners to ensure compliance.
  • Assist Ericsson Sourcing/ ASPM departments leadership and subcontractors with creation and implementation for Corrective action plan
  • Communicate or coordinate Subcontractor requirements to all necessary leadership to ensure leadership support and engagement
  • Assist with brining on vital contractors and vendors for safety support in a timely manner
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently without continuous supervision and have confidence in subcontractor compliance abilities.
  • Ability to travel within the country as required within the role, and Internationally as may be required infrequently.
