Manulife Indonesia DPLK Risk Management i s accountable for implementing and maintaining the Risk Management program framework (both ERM and ORM).The candidate works under the direction of the Chief of Employee Benefits and dotted line to AJMI’s Chief Risk Officer. Depending on the qualification, the candidate is also accountable for monitoring the financial risks & Quality Assurance for DPLK/GS.

We are looking for someone with:

  • University Degree graduated majoring in Accounting or Finance or Actuarial Science.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in risk management or finance/actuarial roles or audit/compliance
  • Experience in DPLK/GS industry
  • Microsoft Office is required
  • Good in English (verbal and written)
  • Expertise in team collaboration, communication, influence and innovative mindset

Nice to Haves:

A recognized risk designation is desirable but not required

On the job you will:

Assist the CRO in updating the Risk Management policies/procedures to ensure DPLK/GS operates within the MFC ERM and ORM framework and MFC risk policies, as well as GWAM requirements.

Lead the process to establish and maintain the business units’ Risk Register

Assist AJMI’s ERM in the implementation of risk culture, risk appetite and any other initiatives requested by GWAM, Regional or local for DPLK/GS

Assist AJMI’s ERM in the preparation of the Board Risk Committee if required Lead the OJK reporting preparation for DPLK/GS

Assist and participate in AJMI’s Risk Management’s initiatives (including trainings to the business units, risk awareness program, and risk awareness month), and provide risk oversight to GWAM.

Monitor and report on the emerging risks associated to DPLK/GS and report to AJMI’s ERM as needed, as well as GWAM through the Asia Retirement risk function.

Maintain good working relationships with the business units & maintain good knowledge about risk management practice in the industry

Lead, complete and monitor the Risk and Control Self Assessment (“RCSA”) for DPLK/GS, and where applicable, participate in the GWAM risk review exercises and RCSAs.

Assist AJMI’s ORM in implementing ORM programs such as S refresh, project and change initiative, Operational Loss Program.

Assist the operational risk reporting process such as loss incidents, risk report, etc, to fulfill the Manulife Group Incident Reporting standards, and assist timely, accurate and complete incident investigation and reporting through coordination between AJMI or GWAM reporting hierarchy.

Challenge “status quo” to the business units to identify control gaps and create action plans to remediate the gaps for DPLK/GS.

Monitor the outstanding audit issues and ensure that the outstanding issues are closed by the business units timely for DPLK/GS.

Participate or lead in any Company projects based on the assignment from the Head of Employee Benefit and/or AJMI’s CRO.

Provide local support to project sponsors/manager to assist in the preparation of project change delivery artefacts and provide oversight to facilitate the risk assessment required for the funding approval, in line with the Manulife Group requirements such as Change Initiative Risk Standards (“CIRS”).

Liaison person/ Employee Benefits (EB) AMI Coordinator for EB ISO both monthly and yearly project.

Coordinator person for Improvement / Special request on procedure standardization and internal quality audit for non-ISO department on EB’s channel. As a DPLK Risk Management having responsibility also as DPLK Executive Member with the duties:

responsible for the management of the DPLK, in accordance with its duties and/or obligations as stipulated in the Pension Fund Regulations and the provisions of the laws and regulations in the Pension Fund sector.

implementing DPLK Governance.

follow up on audit findings and recommendations from work units that perform the internal audit function of DPLK, external audit function of DPLK and/or the results of supervision of the Financial Services Authority;

ensure effective, precise, and fast decision making and can act independently, have no interests that can interfere with their ability to carry out their duties independently, objectively and critically;

ensure that the functions and duties of each work unit in the DPLK are clearly defined so that each party can carry out its functions and duties properly;

responsible for the implementation of their duties to the Founder of the DPLK;

ensure that DPLK pays attention to the interests of all parties, especially Participants and/or parties entitled to benefit; and

ensure that information regarding DPLK is provided to the Management, Supervisory Board and DPS in a timely and complete manner;

ensure that Participants are given the choice of the appropriate investment package or type;

ensure that Participants obtain information regarding the possibility of risk of loss on the choice of packages or types of investments made by Participants through DPLK;

ensure that the performance of the package or type of investment is properly monitored;

ensure that the fees charged to Participants are disclosed in detail; and

ensure Participants are offered for assistance in choosing a package or type of investment
