Responsibilities

  • Maintain an up-to-date supplier list.
  • Review customer brief and be able to propose different options to suit customer’s needs in terms of quality, price, lead time and sustainability.
  • Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns to Sales Support Team
  • Lead negotiation with supplier on price, delivery lead time, quality requirement and other commercial terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with PDE and quality team to ensure product design, technical structure, functional and quality aspects are up to customer expectation. Provide support to business partners when there is a need to initiate negotiation with supplier on requested topics, such as quality issues.
  • Provide supplier data needed by procurement team for supplier registration or order placement purpose.
  • Work with direct report manager to frame a souring strategy and be accountable for implementation at local level.
  • Share data with internal team for supplier registration in QAD.
  • Close collaboration with regional peers by managing a supplier base that can support business needs globally.
  • Serve as the stakeholders’ liaison and ensure timely communications occurs before transferred the next process to procurement team (Import Material).
  • Need to meet customer stretched pricing and lead time target
  • Drive cross function projects/initiatives to improve processes and enhance way of working
  • Need to deal with suppliers globally (with a focused in the ASEAN region)
  • Project management in tight timeline
  • Develop and maintain strong and reliable relationship with GMO Team.
  • Any reasonable additional duties requested or delegated by your line Manager. Success process in each project (especially on the sourcing packaging material factor) and the impact on the course of the Company's business.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Sound time-management and organizational skills.
