Job Description
We transport cargo every day to over >110 stations across Asia on behalf of our customers, and coordinate with many Cargo Terminal Operators (CTOs). We rely heavily on CTOs to ensure we can maximize our ability to sell and transport cargo. The success of selling and maximizing cargo space relies heavily on planning and strong communication/co-ordination between CTO’s and our Load Planning team. The Load Planning team is at the frontline of operations and the first to understand when our cargo transportation plans are not able to proceed as intended. They re-act quickly to abrupt changes and find creative re-routing solutions to ensure every single delivery is transported as intended.
We are looking for a business-savvy, quick-thinking and creative Team Leader who can lead a team of Load Planners. As a Team Leader, you will be the leader that is helping your team members to steer the direction of the team in your base country. Beyond just day-to-day direction, it is critical that you are able to motivate and bring out the best in your team members. As we are a 24/7 operations, this role will be on a full-time shift basis and you will be reporting daily to the Manager, Load Planning.
You will fit perfectly in this role if you are comfortable working independently and are able to exercise your skills in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment. Throughout your role, communication in English will be critical and you can expect to use Microsoft Excel on a regular basis.
A DAY IN A LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
Lead your team and ensure work across teams are seamless with no missing gaps / duplication of roles
Pre-empt unpredictable situations and pro-actively identify how to avoid challenging situations
Lead the coordination with the staeholders to ensure plans are executed in a timely manner
Set a creative thinking to find a ways to route cargo through our network to the intended destination
Have a business mindset and apply judgement when needing to prioritize cargo loading / unloading
‘Be on the ball’ and keep on top of station performance i.e.: observe tonnage, no. of parcels etc. data
Ensure data accuracy of cargo that is transported with us
Be an inspirational leader; understand what motivates your team, lead by example and ‘walk the talk’
Invest in developing the capabilities of your team, plan for training and have a coaching mindset
Regularly seek feedback from the team to understand what can be done better, consider technological solutions

Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and has used it in prior work

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
At least an undergraduate degree, any discipline
2-4 years in logistics (preferably air cargo), warehousing or manufacturing
