This is an exciting role where you will learn to use market insights and data analysis to work with different partners to start and shape new market trends. You will support the development and execution of sourcing strategies for spend categories and support the continuous improvement and standardization of the strategic sourcing processes

How you will contribute

You support spend category teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies for specific spend categories. To excel in this role, you interact with cross-functional stakeholders to manage spend and market analytics (for example, conducting “make or buy” analyses). You also generate insights from bid events, prepare supplier negotiation materials, support project execution and supplier relationship management, and drive controls and compliance.

Purpose of the role:

  • The Manager Sourcing for SEA is accountable to support the strategy implementation of Logistics Sourcing
  • The position is responsible for the commercial relationship between Mondelēz International and the vendors, including internal stakeholders: Procurement, CS&L, Legal, etc
  • The buyer must understand Logistics operations & Market in SEA (including – but not limited to - Transportation & WH footprint, INCO terms, vendors, capacities) to negotiate the best cost for Mondelēz International. The buyer is responsible for the development and execution of projects to deliver productivity and incremental gross margin.
  • Is responsible for the communication with local, regional and global stakeholders should be built and maintained to meet business needs and contribute to the category growth agenda.
  • Control Procurement logistics negotiations across these market in logistics - end to end - according to the spend pool or region assigned.

Career Experiences Required

  • Education Qualifications : MBA /B. Tech/BE with strong excel analytical skills(must)
  • 6 years + experience of international logistics operations / strategic sourcing
  • Experience of managing stakeholders across geographies
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data (Accuracy, eye for detailing & getting insights) (Multiple lanes, multiple parameters such as transit time & free times options)
  • Ability to get information from peers and markets on major macro and micro aspects influencing the category

Main responsibility

Sourcing Management, Logistics (SEA)

  • Ensure Strategy Execution for AMEA Logistics; Drive Productivity and improvements through Simplification, Scale, and Operational Excellence.
  • In charge of Sourcing activities for SEA market, negotiation and acting as first point of contact for the CS&L Regional and Local leads, the Market and Suppliers.
  • Elaborate Bid documentation (Bid Records/Waivers and SAF / CAF) and follow up approval process according to the company policy until the whole process is completed.
  • Develop and execute productivity initiatives by leveraging cross functional resources within CS&L and Procurement Teams.
  • Develop/Execute SPE and BCP Plan

Project Management

  • Lead regional logistics projects assigned and acting as procurement focal point of contact and ensure flawless execution (on time and within allocated costs).
  • Manages relationship with suppliers and Internal stakeholders during the bid; ensure complete information transparency to all stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in global/regional initiatives and ensure implementation in regional assigned.

Compliance, Risk Management, Reporting and others

  • Create & Approve Masters
  • Payment issue resolutions
  • Ensure consistent and clear BID documentation in order to act as focal point of contact at regional level when an audit is required for the spend area.
  • Work with Legal department to set up the corresponding contracts and ensure its compliance and standardization.
  • Accountable as owner of the price list for actuals and forecasts according to responsibility
  • Fully comply with Mondelēz International Procurement and Code of Conduct Policies
  • Ensure compliance with any other internal guidelines and external regulations
  • Holistic Assessment of the Business Risks (short term/medium term/long term), Develop Mitigation and Business Continuity Plans by engagement and alignment with Internal and External Business Stakeholders to ensure execution of the agreed plans within timelines.
