Interior Designer (Contract)


Responsibilities include :

We are looking for an Indonesian Interior Designer who has a passion in art to undertake a variety of space designing projects. You will deal with design from conceptual development and liaising with the stakeholders to managing and executing the design.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake design project from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with appointed company interior designer/architect consultant to apply the idea into detailed planning for each location.
  • Define project requirements and schedule during the “brief”.
  • Interpret and translate stakeholders needs into rough plans.
  • Set costs and project fees according to budget.
  • Research and decide on materials and products sourcing.
  • Produce “sample” and “mood products”.
  • Supervise work progress.
  • Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and constructors.
  • Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practises.
  • Looking for material options / comparison to apply on each project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Designer / Architecture is required.
  • Good English communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.
  • Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD / SketchUp / 3D Max or other design programs.
  • Excellent portfolio of previous works.
  • Creative talent, imagination and eye detail for design.
  • Communication and presentation skills.
  • Project management skills.

Experience desired:

  • Minimum 3 year experience in the interior design field.
  • Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions).
  • Understanding graphic design basic skill is a benefit (corel / photoshop / illustrator).
