Engagement with the government and other industry groups on best practices for ensuring that data can be used for economic and social good while also protecting privacy.
Deeply familiar with policy counseling and have a meaningful understanding of privacy and Internet technologies.
Track and analyze global legislative and regulatory proposals and policy trends
Work closely with cross-functional global teams to develop and communicate positions on policy issues and proposals, including strategically drafting submissions for local policy audiences
Serve as an effective representative regarding privacy and other public policy issues related to data protection including in external meetings and conferences
Design and implement strategies for engaging with external policy stakeholders, and develop content for Indonesia and global audiences (op-eds, position papers, etc.)
6+ years of experience with counseling clients around product development or privacy, data security, or technology policy analysis
Knowledge of the compliance and regulatory landscape and trends impacting technology companies (including GDPR)
Experience with privacy and/or public policy issues related to tech start-up
Experience working directly with executives to support business decision making and familiarity with privacy legislative frameworks
Experience as a paralegal working on data protection and/or privacy
Bachelor Degree in Technology Law, Public Policy or Political Science
Industry certifications relating to security, privacy, and risk management, such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT
Familiarity with Privacy by Design principles and experience building and developing Data Protection programme
