Senior New Business Development Manager

South Jakarta, Indonesia

You will be responsible for driving new opportunities and will need to be able to make an impact in a short space of time to generate revenue, drive penetration of Worldpanel to new clients, by winning ad-hoc projects or getting new subscription clients. The role will also require you to develop relationships across Kantar Divisions. You will involve in a diverse range of research areas beyond the core panel offering, as we will approach potential clients as total solution provider – also leveraging expert solution services within Worldpanel.

What you’d do?

New Business Development:

  • Identify prospect (potential new clients), and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. * Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging network.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
  • Plan approaches and pitches (develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives).
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. * Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Working together with our regional team on the regional queries.

Business Development Planning and Marketing:

  • Present to and consult with senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Identify opportunities for services, and client’s types that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Working together with marketing PIC, especially on creating the insight for prospect and publication.

What you’d bring?

  • Holds minimum bachelor’s degree from well recognized International or Indonesian University.
  • Proficient command of English in both verbal and written.
  • Computer literate, especially in projects/statistics related applications, advanced Ms. Excel and Ms. Power Point would be an added value.
  • Highly disciplined individual with self-starter mentality.
  • Proven ability to successfully prospect and influence potential clients to close sales deals.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Comfortable with a consultative sales process and making sales calls to executive-level audiences.
  • A commercial mind - the ability to identify business opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • With approximately 4 years work experience; preferably with a market research agency.
