Job Description
We are looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted social media users. The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.
Social media specialists should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. You are responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand and “soft selling” the product by providing support to current and prospective customers.
Responsibilities
Building and executing social media strategy through competitive and audience research
Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
Continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales, etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
Build and Execute a Facebook and Instagram advertising funnel inside of Facebook Business Manager
Actively test and analyze targeting criteria ad creatives, landing pages and bid strategies to drive results in line with clients' goals
Execute, drive, and monitor social media contribution to DAU, Impression and other business metrics
Think creatively to develop innovative tactics and strategies that drive results
Create quarterly business reviews that outline performance, insights from testing, and key strategic opportunities
Job Requirements
1. Minimum 4 years’ of relevant work experience developing social media content for a company/brand or working experience at digital or advertising agencies - preferably in the ecommerce space
2. A background in social media or digital media
3. Highly skilled in online / social media communications.
4. Drive, competence, flexibility and a willingness to learn.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to work with people at all levels within/outside the corporation.
7. Experience working within a social media environment
8. Digital savvy with a passion for the digital landscape and knowledge of how platforms work, with experience in social listening and data analytics
9. Comfortable with using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
10. Agile and able to adapt quickly. Can operate in a high-growth business where change is constant, and flexibility is key to ensure success for the greater team
11. Strong understanding of Facebook and paid social advertising
12. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft
13. Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
14. Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
15. Fluency in English
16. Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
