Job Description & Summary

A career in the Office of General Counsel, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be a part of the Firm’s legal department by providing dedicated legal support in the areas of Contract Management, Litigation, Counselling, and Corporate, Commercial, and other legal related matters.

As part of our team, you’ll help with researching background information related to legal issues and preparing legal documents implementations, producing, drafting contracts or legal agreements, retaining files of prepared legal documents, and coordinating requests between internal and external counsel.

As a Manager/Senior manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

  • Addressing sub-standard work or work that does not meet the Firm's/client's expectations.

  • Developing a point of view on key global trends, and how they affect clients.
  • Managing a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.
  • Simplifying complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points.
  • Upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Law. Having a practise license as lawyers is preferable.
  • 15-20 years of experience as legal counsel or lawfare, with heavy experience on contract drafting/negotiation.
  • Proven experience as a legal counsel in a business environment.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information
