You will lead the implementation and drive progress of IL6S in our manufacturing sites, be a part of the SEA Supply Chain leadership team and contribute in managing BU level workstreams related to lean manufacturing, supply chain optimization, Loss analysis and Loss elimination as well as over all capability building of the organization in the areas of lean manufacturing and supply chain excellence.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Build up an effective IL6S culture in the BU – delivering clear understanding of continuous improvement process requirements (behaviours and culture) necessary to deliver productivity and improve safety, quality, and service.
  • Champions the implementation of IL6S performance metrics across the BU, ensuring that issues and problems are made visible to all leaders on the site.
  • Drives the IL6S master plan for the BU – including the expected outcomes and milestones of the IL6S journey for each phase and drives timely reviews.
  • Provides reasonable yet stretching targets to sites and exhibits strong leadership ability through the creation of positive tension for the site.
  • Provides absolute clarity to the site regarding the importance of the CBN and the Zero Loss Journey – and ensures that all site objectives link to both.
  • Drive behavioural change across sites, including support functions, through coaching and influencing the leadership team at the site
  • Leads in driving the IL6S agenda, Zero Loss, Zero Incidents and Zero Defects journey through the SQCDSM approach for the BU.
  • Coach start-ups of NPDs, Capex projects and learning curves during projects.
  • Initiates and supports training and induction programs by using existing tools from the continuous improvement toolbox (Six sigma, QCDSM, 5S +1, FMEA, SMED - Changeover, etc) to ensure all employees understand the concept of continuous improvement.
  • Support excellent Customer service level via performing deep capacity analysis & backup solutions preparation.
  • Support delivery of other functional goals (safety, quality) - implementing fail safe devices program, performing safety scans & behaviour observation.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicator that clearly measure plant performance as a base for improvements. Build up effective system for measuring & control of KPIs in the plant. Build up communication tools for KPIs tracking understandable for whole plant levels.
  • Performs work in compliance with the requirements of IMS (Integrated Management System) and valid work procedures and instructions. Follows rules for work safety, security, environment and food safety according to legal and MDLZ requirements.
  • Proactively collaborates with Global Pillars to communicate the global benchmarking methodology and sharing of best practices
  • Lead and build capability on IDF across sites, ensuring efficient utilization and capability amongst colleagues
  • Coach all IL6S pillars to develop pillar efficiencies and contributions to site CBN and losses per Hoshin

  • Knowledge:

  • University degree or equal by experience – Bachelor of Engineering Degree in any discipline
  • Experience in Manufacturing in FMCG environment is a must
  • Skilled in lean manufacturing principles
  • Skilled in TPM, HPWS/HPO, IL6S or equivalent program as a practitioner and/or as a coach.
  • GMP, HACCP and HSE principles

  • Experience:

  • 5-10 years of relevant hands-on manufacturing experience including team, line/section leadership with people reporting.
  • Working in IL6S and similar environments/programs as a practitioner and/or a coach and in different levels of program maturity
  • Experience in working in other disciplines in Supply Chain like Engineering, CSL, etc is preferred.

What you need to know about this position:

This high visibility position is for the whole SEA BU but will be located in either Indonesia or Vietnam; two countries where we have a total of 4 plants and produce more than half of the BU volume. The role is plant based.

Frequent travel needed in SEA region, at least once a quarter to Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore to physically coach the plant leadership teams and core teams.
