Job Description

Job Summary

  • Act as a contact window for the communication with intercompany customer on the order execution progress as well as the delivery schedule
  • Responsible to ensure the availability and on-time supply of materials to meet production requirements
  • Perform new order review and alignment of the start and completion schedule between each level of in-house make materials as specified in BOM (Bill of Materials)
  • Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries
  • Take follow up action on any non-conformance materials and provide evaluation of the potential cost and delivery impact to management
  • Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) to ensure that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required
  • Monitor WIP inventory levels against agreed target levels
  • Work with capacity planner and production planner to follow up on the realization of projected loading plan
  • Communicate with the Third-Party Inspector appointed by customer with regards to the inspection schedule
  • Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering/equivalent is preferred but not a MUST
  • English proficiency, fluent both in oral and written
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a planner / scheduler
  • Good track record and career progression
  • Possess related experience and good behavior is the most important
  • Experience in manufacturing with business type high mix low volume
  • Having experience and; or training related to Lean Six Sigma Green / Yellow Belt
  • Certified CPIM / CSCP will be an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationship internally and externally
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the costs, production and customer order fulfillment
  • Result orientation and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
  • Familiar with SAP and MRP system and advanced in Ms. Excel
