Job Description

Responsible for providing advice and guidance on the creation and delivery of digital assets to Disney’s Direct to Consumer Services (including but not limited to Disney+ and Disney+ HotStar). The servicing orders include, both Disney own produced and 3rd party acquired titles including catalogue and currents episodic, feature, and shorts. The team is responsible in working with multiple internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure assets are mastered localized, processed, packaged, and delivered to the highest quality in time for the services. The person must have relevant experience of the complexity of digital production and distribution, with an aptitude for problem solving and workflow design, and work well under pressure and remain productive. The person must have good project management skills, and organizational ability, and able to support his/her line manager in strategic planning and representation, and engage their own team in delivering on day to day objectives. The individual is positioned as a regional resource to coordinate with the regional internal and external stakeholders, including partner vendors to manage the production and deliveries.

This role will partner with the business stakeholders, such as Original Production, Acquisition, Business Operations, Global Content Operations and Programming teams to understand the product strategy and content plan, and based on the inputs, manage and accurately plan high volumes of data (asset research, programming lists, delivery schedules).

Responsibilities :
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure completion of assets is in line within agreed deadlines and to the agreed technical standards and costs while ensuring creative consistency
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure the team’s daily responsibilities are met and participate in handling day to day jobs:
    • Provide partner vendors the approved final list of titles and instruct production requirements
    • Liaise with relevant distributors and/or content holders to facilitate the source assets, in accordance with the technical specification, to be provided in time
    • Advise internal stakeholders, such as Acquisition and Production, as well as external parties, such as distributors and content holders the technical specifications and requirements as necessary
    • Provide purchase order followed by the instruction listing titles along with their release dates to be commissioned in order for the partner vendors to commence the work
    • Provide guidance to partner vendors in a timely manner to facilitate the completion of the work
    • Validate and process invoices and respond invoice queries
    • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to control the logistic flow by monitoring and tracking assets and production movement, end to end workflow process of all requests to ensure that the assets are processed in time for delivery to the platforms
    • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders on action rejections and recall notifications and update/replace materials as required, and manage issues through the Disney ticketing system, JIRA
    • Maintain metadata, including translation, integrity across stakeholders, and correct and resolve issues if arise
    • Update and maintain records to reflect current delivery status of materials and specifications
    • Coordinate with partner vendors and other internal stakeholders to make sure all assets are registered and kept in correct manner in the Disney’s respective asset management systems
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Global and Regional Operational teams and external partner vendors to build and sustain workflows and good working relationships, and proactively discuss any issues or areas of improvements to be made
  • Monitor the performance of partner vendors and provide advice and guidance to ensure performance meets or exceeds standards and targets inclusive of cost efficient and timely asset delivery, and production milestones
  • Facilitate high level updates Status (launches and post launches)
  • Analyse issues and problem solve, and works with the line manager to review workflows and the adoption of new technical opportunities
  • Provide advice and guidance to plan and manage budget, and make sure the spending is within the budget, provide forecast and cost analysis as required
  • Work with line manager to develop the team, review workflows and meet business objectives
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders throughout global territories, stakeholder including but not limited to Global Content Operations, Library Technical Services, Programming, Production and Acquisitions and partner platforms such as DSS and Hotstar to understand their media requirements, customization and delivery requirements to ensure the orders are fulfilled in a timely manner across all serving regions
  • Provide advice with respect to inquiries and complaints regarding any operation or technical issues from both internal and external parties, and provide solutions by working with the appropriate stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with external partner vendors
  • Drive results holding themselves and others accountable to high performance standards, and manage projects with appropriate metrics to assess performance

Basic Qualifications :
  • 7+ years’ experience in a television or media company
  • Thorough experience of content localisation, production, and distribution
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Demonstrable management training experience and a team leadership background.
  • Excellent and demonstrable project management experience
  • Effective oral and written English skills
  • Local language ability assigned to the territory
  • Client servicing experience preferred
  • Able to prioritize effectively & adopt flexible approach to different tasks
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
