Main purpose of job:
The Economic research and support officer will provide research support to the Economic Advisor and to ensure that economic knowledge in the Embassy is well recorded and up-to-date. The job holder will also provide administrative support to the Economics and Digital Team at the British Embassy Jakarta.
The job holder will work closely with other teams in the Embassy and other various UK Government Departments to achieve Her Majesty’s Government objectives. The job holder will also have the opportunity to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including engagement with the Government of Indonesia (such as the Ministry of Finance, Bank Indonesia, Financial Services Authority, The National Planning Agency, Ministry of Trade, and the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs), and other development partners (such as the World Bank, UNDP, ASEAN, and other foreign missions).
