As the Material Planner, you will be responsible for consolidating and understanding sales and marketing data to lead production of sales and delivery forecasts for Indonesia. Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting process: Ensure approved 24 months unconstraint sales forecast at any time. Develop the process of creating forecasts and replenishment plans.
  • Establish and manage SKU level statistical forecasts whilst delivering on forecast accuracy targets, use market intelligence, customer insights and statistical models.
  • Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Ensure quality and continuity of regular S&OP meetings. Provide input to S&OP/Demand Review.
  • Demand Planning process implementation, accountability and support wing to wing supply chain with close cross-functional collaboration.
  • Align production and supply capacity with commercial estimates, market demand, and customers’ expectations in direct and dealer markets.
  • Generates ad hoc analyses as required and gives planning & analytical support within and outside the function, both in relation to S&OP, business planning and markets trends.
  • Excellent communications, influencing and collaboration skills required to manage a multitude of internal and external customers and partners.
  • Markets: support markets and distribution centers in establishing planning processes and systems especially with regards to emerging markets.
  • Performance Measurement (KPIs): Monitoring and analysis of sales history, inventory, forecast accuracy, forecast Bias and Volatility, reporting of forecast changes and drivers.
  • Life Cycle Management: Analyze product portfolios with respect sales volume, value and margins. Manage new product introduction and discontinuation.
  • Planning systems: Maintain and develop forecasting parameters, master data and models which provide transparent and consistent data to enable rapid decision making.
  • Advocacy and leveraging of new initiatives and technologies supporting future forecasting and continuous improvements.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution; or Supply Chain experience, or GE Leadership Program employee or graduate. (or high school diploma /GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials planning, or Supply chain.)
  • Affinity to systems and use of computers/software.
  • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate on various organizational levels using English language.
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Exposure to Supply Chain Management
  • Experience working across different functions

Desirable skills

  • SCM / Planning education and work experience.
  • Working knowledge of planning processes and systems
  • 6 years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience, including leading AWOs
