Our client is a global leader in mining industry.

Job Description

  • Responsible for installing a sustainable maintenance program for the plant sites and bulk loading equipment to be manufactured
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with corporate procedures, standards and strategy.
  • Contribute fully in the administration of existing contracts and in preparing future contracts and tenders.
  • Manage the operations as established in procedures and guidelines set by the company in the areas of safety, environment, quality assurance, reliability and cost within the terms of the contract and scope of operation with the aim of achieving Operational Excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations
  • Assist in the commissioning of new plant and equipment and assist in the decommissioning and disposal of unutilized plant and equipment according to established procedures.
  • Assist with the trialing of equipment where required. Identify and recommend continuous improvement projects that have financial benefits for both employer and their customers.
  • Assist with field trial of new products and services where required.
  • Coordinate design, construction and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Assist in the standardization of site and corporate procedures.
  • Communicate improvements in equipment, procedures, systems and management to other business areas.
  • Actively participate in any global initiatives that impact on area of responsibility providing constructive feedback where required
  • Ensure compliance with SAP/daily processing requirements

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering from a reputable University
  • Minimum of 5 years experiences as Engineering Manager
  • Experience in bulk truck operation and maintenance and ability to operate and manage the maintenance of bulk emulsion plant.
  • Understanding of safety and health standards related to explosives manufacturing, field mining services, mechanical design and chemical storage.
  • Experience in organisational development, contract management, engineering development and/or management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a diverse team to deliver on budget, schedule and quality targets
  • Willing to travel to remote sites in Indonesia and also internationally as required to meet job requirements.
