About the Role
As Merchant Legal Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to work on various products, exciting legal issues, and be involved in processes and projects where it will challenge you to think big, differently, and out of the box. You will be included as a team member of the Merchant Legal team and will work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to handle the onboarding merchant process and negotiating with various third party merchants from top merchant until small medium enterprise. Given the exposure, we will need someone who is eager to learn quickly and able to support all kinds of advisory, regulatory, contentious, and commercial work concerning Gojek products and services in Indonesia.

What You Will Do

Conduct legal reviews and manage BAU projects related to Gojek’s products, marketing and business initiatives and work in consultation with various internal stakeholders to provide solution-oriented practical advice
Provide legal services, including advisory, agreement drafting, agreement reviewing, legal analysis and product exploration and risk identification
Provide versatile advices and take into accounts various perspectives, particularly from a merchant perspective
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and together shall negotiate with external third parties in finalizing the agreement.

What You Will Need

Minimum 3 years of working experience in a law firm or company, combination experience will be advantageous
Advanced level of spoken and written both in English and Indonesian language
Ability to work and progress tasks independently, self-initiating and takes a pro-active approach towards projects; seeks direction and advice as needed but also prepared to take ownership and cooperate with different teams, as well in a virtual and remote setting
Excellent analytical skills with the capacity of identifying all risks and proactively choosing the best solutions, sound judgment, and attention to details
Ability to multitask and adapt to work in a fast-paced team environment
Well-developed communication skills (including oral, written and interpersonal skills) and the ability to liaise and negotiate in a variety of contexts, include builds credibility and strong relationships with stakeholders and counterparts

About the Team
The Gojek Legal team is a highly collaborative group of 50 lawyers stationed across Jakarta, Singapore and Vietnam. The gist of our role is to support the team's efforts to scale Gojek's business operations whilst managing legal risks appropriately. Working with the business, product and various functional teams across the organization, we act as a strategic partner for Gojek on legal matters regarding products (i.e. marketplace, e-money, payment gateway), strategic deals and partnerships, data protection & privacy, intellectual property, antitrust/competition law, fundraising, and capital market laws, among other domains.
