Job Description

Over the following years, we have been hiring and managing a team of freelance writers (10 people). However, due to high-quantity needs in articles (30 per week) and a request to increase quantity and length of articles, this current article production system would be too high in budget. This is because we pay our freelancers based on the length of the articles and the quantity of articles they write in a month. Also, all this time, all article ideas come from the Content Strategist and our freelancers are not quite involved in the ideation process or have the knowledge needed to write more product-related articles (as they only know the basic knowledge of our product). Which can affect our branding in the long run. Therefore, hiring in-house content writers would be a great solution to both these concerns.

Things you will do
  • Develop a weekly and monthly article topic calendar for the Bobobox Blog / Website
  • Create engaging articles that are SEO Friendly, accurate, error-free and is able to strengthen Bobobox’s branding in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Design and execute plans or suggestions to improve blog article performance and traffic
  • Analyze ongoing trends, events, news, and our products’ or brand’s newest updates to tap into in our article topics
  • Actively engage in ideation processes in creating articles, suggesting topics, and keywords
  • Analyze competitor’s article strategies and keywords
  • Compare data to analyze what’s working, what’s not, and what solutions are best to solve potential problems
  • Actively explore more topics and article writing approaches
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports on article performances and future strategies

You’ll fit in this job if you
  • Minimum bachelor degree from Indonesian literature, English literature, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related fields
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience working as a Content Writer, SEO Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar roles
  • Excellent in writing / copywriting skills
  • Has good knowledge in SEO and keyword research and is familiar with the tools (Google Trends, SEMrush, and more)
  • Has previously handled corporate blogs / websites
  • Experience in journalism and in-depth writing experience is preferred
  • Have the ability to multi-task and finish tasks in a timely manner
  • Have high initiative and is not afraid to communicate their ideas or concerns
  • Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
