About the role

Manage the material (both raw materials and imported finished goods) ordering process to meet target stock levels and agreed customer and/or production dates. Manage slow moving and aging inventory reduction plan. Mitigate risk of excess & obsolescence. Increase materials planning service level through lead-time & MOQ reduction and ensuring AOS (availability of supply). Identify cost and risk implications due to customer order changes and implement mechanism to capture and recommend solutions on materials management

Key responsibilities

  • Purchase order placement with suppliers
  • Assist in the development of supplier relationships to ensure requirements are met on-time and in-full; with management of urgent issues critical to material supply. Work with Buyers to ensure supplier performance are to agreed standards.
  • Daily review of RM orders not arrived, not booked in or not meeting agreed measures.
  • Assist the Material Call Off Lead with the resolution of any material issues to avoid compromising production and/or customer delivery deadlines
  • Work closely with the Procurement Technology Buyers on all material requirements for the Indonesia.
  • Maintain and review raw material stock levels to meet targeted levels
  • Work with and develop expertise in material call-off planning using SAP ECC & APO modules

Qualifications and skills

  • Candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience within the Supply Chain or Material Planning function
  • Must be coming from a manufacturing background – food industry is preferable
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems is essential; SAP experience is a definite advantage.
  • Possess an open nature / collaborative mind-set that enables you to work with people from different functions and levels
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that exemplify the highest level of professionalism in both internal and external environments
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrate relentless drive and determination to achieve success
  • Strong problem-solving skills; the ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions
  • Possess strong planning and analytical skills and be able to take complex issues and break down actions for resolutions and working with tight deadlines
