Summary:The U.S. Bi-Mission in Jakarta - Indonesia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Chauffeur.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (48 hours per week)
As one of several Force Protection Detachment (FPD) motor pool chauffeurs, she/he operates FPD vehicles in the transportation of official visitors in support of U.S. Government official activities. Assumes duty driver responsibility on a rotation basis, incumbent may be required to make trips that require out of town stays. The travel will be 15% of the time
The incumbent operates safely and efficiently an unarmored U.S. Government owned motor vehicle to transport passengers and/or cargo. Serves as a messenger as directed. As one of several Force Protection Detachment (FPD) motor pool chauffeurs, receives work assignments from the FPD Chief of Senior Foreign Service National Investigator to transport State/FPD or other agency personnel, temporary assigned duty personnel to local appointments, work sites and other locations.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years of professional driving experience working for government, private sector employer or personal employer.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have a good working knowledge of Jakarta and its environs, including driving routes and traffic pattern. Must be familiar with the location of hospitals, police and fire stations within Jakarta and its immediate surroundings.
Completion of primary education is required.
Evaluations:LANGUAGE: Level II (Limited Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English is required. Level III (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing in Bahasa Indonesia is required (this may be tested).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must hold a valid driver's license (SIM A) (this may be tested). Must have the ability to read maps and plan driving routes. Must have good verbal communication skills and an ability to handle all persons with professionalism and discretion. Must be able to perform basic vehicle inspection and must possess intermediate level automotive maintenance skills. Must have basic computer skill to maintain reports and for communication purposes.
Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), locally-resident EFMs and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Bi-Mission in Indonesia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
All candidates must be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust clearance.
