About Us: DevTech Systems, Inc. (DevTech) is an international consulting firm dedicated to development, with 35 years of experience providing advisory services and technical assistance to government, private sector, and civil society stakeholders in more than 100 countries. DevTech core practice areas include: Economic and Data analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation, Education and Youth Development, Gender and Inclusive Development, and Public Financial Management. Overview: DevTech is implementing the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded Economic Growth Support Activity (EGSA). EGSA supports the government of Indonesia and other stakeholders with (i) evidence-based decision making; (ii) technical assistance to improve GOI capacity in public financial management and related governance; and (iii) capacity building to improve the business enabling environment for foreign and domestic enterprises. The Communication Specialist is the project key writer and is responsible to update and implement the project communication strategy to increase the impact of EGSA’s technical interventions and capacity building efforts in Indonesia in line with USAID branding and marking requirements. The consultant will also develop communication materials aimed at effectively publicizing EGSA in support of achieving high level of public visibility as stated in the project’s approved Strategic Communication Plan (SCP). The consultant will also design brochures, develop success stories, and coordinate with partners to effectively communicate program achievements. Responsibilities: The Consultant shall carry out the following tasks:
  • Lead the implementation of the communication strategy of the project
  • Identify key accomplishments of the project and develop/update project fact sheets
  • Lead the production of USAID EGSA success stories, newsletters, press releases, talking points and other publications for every EGSA activities and accomplishments
  • Design flyer, banner and other product to promote USAID EGSA events following USAID branding and marking guidelines
  • Create professional graphics and products for social media, presentations, and dissemination of USAID EGSA work.
  • Routine media monitoring for material substantively affecting the work of the project
  • Support other communications and administrative tasks as required.
  • Ensure high-quality of products including images, and photos.
  • Liaison with vendors in producing communication materials.
  • Identify industry trends to help shape our messaging.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field.
  • Prior work experiences on USAID funded project are preferred.
  • Familiarity with USAID branding and marking requirements will be a plus.
  • Computer literate, excellent skills in MS Office, Word, MS Excel, Power Point, and design related software.
  • Proactive, accountable, good attention to detail and commitment to perform well at work.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

All deliverables must be prepared in USAID reporting format and must be acceptable by EGSA and USAID. The Consultants will submit their invoice monthly along with the monthly progress report as attachments to the invoice. The invoice, output and progress report will be reviewed and accepted by EGSA’s leadership. The consultant will provide services for up to 60 days of level of effort (LOE) from o/a December 2021 – October 2022.
