If you’re looking to be a part of a dynamic team and an opportunity to dive deep into projects surrounding corporate legal, look no further. As Legal Support for Gojek Legal Team, you’ll take the wheel in assisting various work streams in the team. Based in Jakarta, you will have exposure to our local and international entities. Furthermore, along with employing administrative works, you will be in charge of organizing databases of documents and coordinating meetings and events. Working closely with cross function departments, on demand business streams, and external parties, you will get to assist and administer legal related matters across the company. The cherry on top: you’ll get to be a part of a team that works to drive company’s decision making, ensuring each business action is in line with the legal perspective.



What You Will Do

  • Provide administrative support for Gojek Legal Team’s work streams, including document’s formatting, signing, scanning and delivery to other parties (arrange internal and/or external courier on sending the documents to other parties), and processing invoice from local and overseas vendors
  • Commence documents filing to organize and maintain paper and electronic filing systems in accordance with recognized procedures and standards
  • Maintain and update database of company’s documents, licenses, permits and letters to enable easier reference for tracking systems
  • Coordinate logistics for various events and meetings with internal and/or external parties, and coordinate with other admin or assistants in arranging or scheduling events or calls
  • Liaise with legal related vendors or third parties (as necessary) to perform any legal related matters which sub-contracted to other parties

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor degree (a law degree will be a plus point)
  • Minimum 1 year experience working as an admin/secretary in private sector (preferably have experience supporting legal team)
  • Good proficient in spoken and written English
  • Domiciled in Greater Jakarta
  • Skillful in using Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and any type of Google Documents/Sheets
  • Highly responsible, motivated and independent
  • Team-oriented with strong willingness to work and adapt

About the Team

The Gojek Legal team is a highly collaborative group of 50 lawyers stationed across Jakarta, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The gist of our role is to support the team's efforts to scale Gojek's international business operations whilst managing legal risks appropriately. Working with the Business, Product, and various functional teams across the organization, we act as a strategic partner for Gojek on legal matters regarding fintech products (i.e. P2P lending, e-money, e-wallet), strategic deals and partnerships, data protection & privacy, intellectual property, antitrust/competition law, fundraising, and capital market laws, among other domains.

It’s no secret that we take our duties seriously as a team. Our team has supported Gojek in successfully expanding internationally to Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines (the latter-most through its subsidiary, Coins.PH). We were also awarded the 2019 & 2020 Asian Legal Business Indonesia In House Team Of The Year - major milestones for our legal family.
