Summary:

The work schedule for this position is: full time (40 hours per week)


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time 2 weeks of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

The incumbent serves as a purchasing agent in GSO/PCU who performs procurement functions, and responds to requests from mission agencies. Handles procurement actions using the Ariba Module and eFiling system for various equipment, supplies and services, and prepares appropriate documents-especially office equipment & supplies, furniture, security items, uniform, appliances, utensils, equipment spare-parts, motorcycles, janitorial supplies mainly via local procurements -under the Simplified Acquisitions Threshold. Handles off-the-shelf local purchases using petty cash and credit card orders. Serves as a backup to other Purchasing agents.


Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Two years of office/administrative work; at least one year of procurement, contracting, or supply experience required.

Education Requirements:

Completion of Secondary School or Local Mandatory Schooling and received high school diploma.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE (this may be tested): Good command of English and Indonesian to have fluent conversation. Level III English and Level III Indonesian are required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Able to function independently when dealing with requestors from all levels, and dealing with all kinds of vendors, laborers, and managers is required.

  • Able to work as team player.

  • Able to monitor and manage multiple procurements and/or projects.

  • Must have good organization skills and excellent customer service skills.

  • Must have working computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), internet, and computerized procurement software (ILMS/Ariba).

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Bi-Mission in Indonesia and ASEAN may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
