In your role as Commercial Counsel Indonesia for our E-commerce product, your main responsibility is to ensure that TikTok Shop adheres to the utmost legal and compliance standards in its operation and expansion. You will be part of a collaborative group of lawyers across the globe and play an important role that directly impacts the operation of TikTok Shop in Indonesia.
Here's what you'll do:
Work closely with international legal and product teams to review and advise on e-commerce products, features and platforms from an Indonesia legal perspective;
Provide business stakeholders with legal and compliance advice across a wide range of subject areas relating to e-commerce, including privacy, intellectual property, platform liability, product liability, advertising, contract and consumer protection laws;
Draft, implement and manage the e-commerce product or platform terms of use, privacy policies, and FAQs;
Draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements with merchants, creators, and service providers;
Provide legal advice to the business marketing team on marketing campaigns and initiatives, and draft related agreements;
Assist with updating contract models and templates as necessary; and
Instruct and liaise with external counsels as necessary.
Who you are:
More than 2 years' experience working in an in-house legal department at a technology company or in a reputable law firm;
Strong command of English and Bahasa Indonesia, and ability to draft and negotiate contracts in both languages;
Admitted to practice in Indonesia;
Ability to quickly adapt to, and willing to work in, a fast-paced team environment; and
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic corporate environment.
Strongly preferred:
Experience advising on e-commerce products and features;
Experience working with international teams in different time zones in a cross-functional environment; and
Strong drafting, presentation and communication skills (including oral, written, and interpersonal skills).
