About the Role
Roll up your sleeves and climb on board if you’re ready to be our next Head of Region. As our Head of Region, you will play a pivotal role in curating and deploying sales and operations strategies in the region and finding local insights. You will work closely with the Sales, Operations, Account Management, and Business Analyst teams in your day-to-day tasks and develop and maintain strong relationships with the merchants, governments, associations, and various communities. This position will need to show leadership and management skills in order to achieve the ultimate goal of ensuring all deployed merchants or products are monitored closely and effectively. On top of that, you will work collaboratively with the Head of each Function to align on the primary strategy, translate it into the implementation at the Regional level and ensure it’s aligned with GoTo Financial’s goals & values.
What You Will Do
Design an overall Regional Strategy (encompassing both hunting and farming motion), followed by implementation and execution of the plan to ensure business objectives are achieved
Oversee and manage the performance of a team of Sales, Operations, and Account Management, including providing regular coaching / mentoring
Build and maintain relationships with a network of Small & Medium Businesses in the region
Work with relevant stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Corporate Affairs, Government Relations, etc.) to ensure that sales strategies and merchant activities are aligned with the overall regional and nationwide company objectives
Prepare forecasts and budgets; Set targets in the acquisition, retention rate, net growth, market shares, and new business development
Identify new sales opportunities within existing merchant accounts by up-selling and cross-selling existing products
Translate consumer behavior, market insight, field situation, and market trend to the Head Office to refine the overall region strategy
What You Will Need
At least 10 years experience within mid-to-senior management function. Preferable industries: unicorn tech-company, top multinational FMCG, SMB Banking, and big-3 Telecom company
Ability to bridge, develop and maintain good relationships with key partners, local/regional government stakeholders, 3rd party partners, merchant associations, communities
Strong in planning, leadership, managerial skill, result-driven, target-oriented with proven track records
Strong business sense and have a good understanding of the markets, customers, and competitors
Experience in managing a big team, strong in people development and mentoring / coaching
Fact-based / number-oriented individual who is comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
Very good in number, excellent in analyzing data and using analytics to make decision (PPT, sheet, excel)
Proficient in English & Bahasa, strong communication & interpersonal skill
Able to recruit good talent for the team, nurture & mentor them
Flexible and willing to travel & relocate across regions

In the Commerce Enablement team, we consistently strive to implement solutions that allow our merchant-partners in Indonesia to sell products both through online and offline. We also work to improve the merchant-partner experience by product innovation and integration with the rest of the Gojek ecosystem.
One of our main goals is to strengthen our market share in Indonesia, combining strategy with local insights to propel our business onwards and upwards. Furthermore, we are in charge of maintaining a holistic view of GoTo Financial’s business and payment solutions within the region, constantly striving to better understand the region's issues from the ground up and provide solutions and actionable steps forward. Lastly, We ensure our platform is at the top of the minds of merchants while improving our merchant’s life and their experiences using our services.
