Launch and scale the warehousing and fulfilment initiative in ID as the first in-country hire for the vertical, working closely with the regional fulfilment team and country leadership. This role is a cross-functional role which encompasses end-to-end responsibility over commercial, sales and product strategy development and execution.
Job Description
Launch, lead and scale the warehousing and fulfilment vertical in ID as the first in-country hire for the business, working closely with the regional team and country leadership. This is a cross-functional, hands-on role which encompasses P&L ownership and end-to-end responsibility over country strategy and execution, including in the areas of commercial growth, business development, product strategy and operations, with strong functional and specialist support provided by the regional fulfilment team.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Strategy
Define and drive the strategic direction for the warehousing and fulfilment vertical in Indonesia based on understanding of market conditions and competitive landscape Be responsible for P&L performance of the vertical, including strategic planning, budgeting and management reporting
Commercial and Product Development
Develop go-to-market, pricing and product positioning strategy, overseeing long-term commercial product development roadmap Partner Ninja Van’s country leadership, commercial heads and other business vertical heads to develop an integrated and differentiated warehousing and fulfilment value proposition that fully leverages synergies with Ninja Van’s ecosystem of services
Organizational Development
Hire, build and lead high-performing teams across business development, account management, commercial and product, and operations functions, with a strong focus on coaching and mentoring
Business Development and Sales Management
Build and actively manage business development and key account management teams and optimize key acquisition and retention levers to deliver accelerated business growth, Oversee end-to-end business development efforts, including sales strategy, pricing strategy, commercial negotiations, client onboarding processes and key account management Source, develop and manage key strategic and commercial partnerships that accelerate business growth
Operations
Oversee end-to-end operations to ensure smooth running of the business by developing, monitoring and implementing robust operations processes with strong functional and specialist support from the regional team, Drive for operational and cost efficiency across all aspects of the business to achieve market leading cost structure and consistent product quality
Requirements
6-10 years of experience in commercial strategy, strategic planning, sales management, business development and operations strategy
Strong track record of delivering on aggressive topline targets and overall P&L performance
Experience building, coaching, and leading high-performing teams especially in the areas of commercial, business development and account management
Excellent commercial acumen and analytical skills with a logical, structured and data-driven approach to identifying, scoping and solving problems, comfortable working with financial data and large data sets
Stakeholder management abilities, with experience managing internal and external strategic partners at a senior level
Ability to thrive in high growth environments; Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change
Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written) and local language
Interest and/or exposure to 3PL logistics / fulfilment industry
