We are looking for freelance journalists and content writers with expertise in entertainment and pop culture in APAC, with a particular interest in what piques the audience’s attention in ASEAN, India, Korea, Hong Kong, and China. Journalists need to possess native written fluency in English and be able to turn stories around in a matter of days.
Writers who are able to demonstrate a track record in reporting on trending people, which includes but may not be limited to celebrities, royalty, billionaires, MMA/UFC fighters, and more. Topic expertise on Indian pop culture and LGBTQ issues will also be prioritized. Ideally, applicants should also demonstrate discerning editorial taste when it comes to TV and film coverage.
Maybe you have stories to pitch on the latest LGBTQ celebrities in Asia and their impact on eastern culture. Perhaps you have ideas about certain influential people who deserve more coverage. Maybe you just have ideas about which Asian actors, musicians, or artists to interview.
Rates are competitive and are fixed on a per published word and image basis (around US$200 per 700-word story).
