The Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment leads the development of policy advice and provides services to improve the productivity, competitiveness and sustainability of agriculture, fisheries, forestry and related industries as well as to help people and goods move in and out of Australia while managing the risks to the environment and animal, plant and human health.
The Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment aims to enhance the sustainability, profitability and competitiveness of Australia’s agriculture, food, fisheries and forestry industries.
About the position
The position covers a broad range of content across the portfolio of agriculture, fisheries, forestry, water resources and trade. Under limited direction, this position is responsible for oversight and coordination of all work flows, within a small team. The role undertakes high-level liaison and coordination with relevant Government of Indonesia Officials (including Echelon 1 officials) and analyses relevant policies and programs to advise A-base staff accordingly.
