About the role
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible to ensure the quality of all the rooms in the property and to assist hands on the operation team on enhancing the whole housekeeping procedures efficiently. You will be a professional member of the housekeeping supervising team providing the highest level of service which meets and exceeds expectations. You will contribute to the housekeeping operation by cleaning bedrooms, public areas, hotel exterior, back of house areas and other designated areas. You will interact with guests and assist them fully, cleaning and servicing rooms to the highest of international standards as well as carrying out housekeeping duties as requested. You will follow housekeeping standards at all times and complete your duties in a timely fashion, in order to inspire guests and help to create a memorable experience.
About you
Adhere to Covid-19 Hygiene and Cleaning Standards and induction
Ensure rooms are serviced and cleaned with efficiency and in line with company standards, including Spick and Speck quality inspections and hotel CPOR time frames as directed
Deliver the highest levels of guest service so that guests are greeted warmly
Interact with guests and team members in a friendly, respectful and positive manner
Attend team meetings and briefings where your manager/supervisor will allocate rooms, organise tasks, conduct mini training sessions, toolbox talks and communicate information on VIP and regular guests, special requests, incentives and performance
Assist in maintaining par stock levels for all equipment and materials, including linen, stationary, cleaning products, guest amenities and equipment by reporting shortages
Contribute to team morale and promote a productive and enjoyable working environment
Report any guest incidents or complaints to Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor
Complete projects as assigned by your Manager to ensure deadlines are met
Contribute to hotel security by ensuring a safe environment and reporting anything that may be a risk to the property or any persons within
Use safe manual handling and chemical handling techniques at all times and ensure all WHS practices and Ovolo procedures are followed
Ensure that that all working areas and housekeeping areas including public areas, bedrooms, corridors and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy at all times and well maintained
Respect guest confidentiality and follow the company and legal standards relating to issuing room keys, VIPS, Silent guess, cash transactions, accounting procedures and conduct towards guests
Maintain high standard of personal hygiene and personal presentation when on duty
Participate in training and development programmes as scheduled by management, and actively implement what is trained into the working environment
Be fully conversant with departmental fire and evacuation procedures and attend relevant fire safety training
Be fully conversant with information contained in chemical material safety data sheets (MSDS) and ensure the proper procedures are followed for the safe and correct use and disposal of chemical substances
Notify your Manager of any reason you may not be capable of performing your tasks safely
Participate in workplace consultation on matters pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety, as per the hotels agreed arrangements
Maintain good working relationships with all departments and assisting departments as and when needed
Always conduct yourself in a professional manner that reflects the company in a positive way demonstrating shiny happy people all around
Treat customers and colleagues from all cultural groups with respect, sensitivity and transparency.
