The work schedule for this position is:

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

The Human Resources (HR) Assistant in the Human Resources Office provides effective human resources related advise and comprehensive service to all HR office sections, U.S. Direct Hire (USDH) employee and family members (EFM) under the BI-Mission (U.S. Mission to Indonesia and the U.S. Mission to ASEAN), including TDYers. The incumbent supervises the Roving Administrative Assistants, manages the performance evaluation process for DOS-USDH and EFM employees, assists the HR section with various projects and keeps the section up to date with guidance and standard operating procedures, manages the security clearances process for EFM employees, oversees the duty officer program, processes awards for DOS-USDH employees, manages the DOS Fellow and Interns program, and coordinates the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT) for post.


Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum two years of experience in office administration or experience in a customer service environment providing information and solving problems.


(Please note that one credited year of working experience is equal to 40 hours/week x 52 weeks or 2080 hours.)


Education Requirements:

A minimum of two years post-secondary (60 semester hours) education is required.


(Please note that you need to submit US education equivalency certification/transcript if you studied in a foreign college/university.)

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Mandatory: Fluent in Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required (This maybe tested).


SKILLS AND ABILITIES Optional: Must have the ability to operate Microsoft Office applications and have the ability for self-learning other computer programs used by the mission. Must have the ability to organize and coordinate projects. Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to other internal parties, including executives. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Benefits: Agency Benefits:

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Indonesia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
