Counsel business clients on issues related to e-commerce and online marketplaces, including sales, distribution, third party sales, pricing policies, and brand protection, as well as related intellectual property and antitrust considerations;
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, e-commerce related policies and terms, such as platforms terms of use, sales terms and conditions, seller agreements , vendor contracts, and implement and supervising contract management;
Prepare and monitor state filings and business registration for the company, brand and product;
First point of contact for any regulatory compliance topic or user disputes and claims, and liaising for any necessary legal related matters with the CT Corp Group Legal;
Advising internal stakeholders on consumer law, e-commerce requirements, data protection and privacy policy, and general contract law or any relevant regulatory compliance topic;
Proactively keep up with new legislation and market developments and ensure the Company's compliance;
Advise and guide the business teams on complex legal issues and develop creative solutions, managing legal and business risks and resolving disputes;
Handling other project-based and group digital function work within the scope of the legal department responsibilities on as-needed basis;
Pro-actively enhancing legal awareness, including relevant regulatory compliance topics;
At minimum possess a Bachelor Degree from accredited law school required
Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably as legal inhouse counsel at an e-Commerce or tech company
Working knowledge of privacy law interaction with e-commerce platforms is a plus
Experience reviewing promotional/advertising materials, including digital marketing, is a plus
Strong ability to understand complex issues, sound commercial acumen and help design practical solutions
Excellent communication and leadership skills, flexibility and collaboration must be demonstrated
Proven prioritization and results orientation, especially with high pressure deadlines
Proven ability to work independently, as well as strong business partnering skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
