APAC RC Production Tolling Manager


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Toller Management and Production Operations


  • Manages all aspects of field and plant performance and sets priorities of resources to manage the toll manufacturing operations effectively as a single point of contact between Bayer and toll manufacturers.
  • Manages resources and responsibilities across key work streams: Parent seeds preparation, Planting/Harvesting, Bulk Seeds receipt, Finished Goods seeds packing, Warehousing/Storage, Inventory Prioritization, Returns Management, and Discard & Obsolescence.
  • Coordinates the initiation and implementation of the contract process with tollers and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinates the detailed delivery plan and updates between Bayer SCM Planning and tollers.
  • Provides reporting template to tollers, coordinates and leads weekly meetings in-season to provide platform for real-time visibility and escalations, and provides planting, harvest, and post-harvest updates to SCM Planning.
  • Coordinates orders for packaging and seed treatments for tollers.
  • Ensures safe and timely delivery of crop to enable business needs while meeting seed production metrics
  • Oversees tollers’ processes and operations from field to finished goods for Pre-commercial and Commercial Seed Production.
  • Responsible for targeted Production & Quality indices and cost control.
  • Ensures toll manufacturers are provided with annual hybrid-appropriate Package of Technology and QM/QC appropriate guidance for seed preparation and sampling.
  • Evaluates ID tollers for commercial seed production from planting to harvesting to ensure error free implementation of Package of Technology.
  • Ensures steps and procedures are followed to enable and achieve Seed Certification (BPSB).
  • Collaborated in best practice network to share and improve another countries tolling operation

Warehouse Coordination & Inventories


  • Coordinates with cold-room warehouse for inbound-outbound inventory
  • Manages inventory to minimize write offs, control costs of goods and working capital to ensure that all financial KPI’s are met or exceeded.
  • Coordinates with SCM for related SAP master data, creates and processes PR/POs and material movements in SAP

Stewardship, Quality, Compliance and Safety


  • Ensures tolling operations are compliant to Bayer requirements and local regulations, including HSE, Quality, and Sustainability standards.
  • Contributes to annualreview of risk assessment with Quality Stewardship and Tollers to identify Critical Control Points in process and ensure genetic and GM trait purity, where applicable, for Hybrid Seed production.
  • Responsible for delivery of right Quality of seeds and continuous improvement of Production Quality & Quality Management Systems.
  • Manages collaborations with Country and Regional Quality Teams.
  • Collaborates with commercial team to manage customer related complaints and feedback for resolution.

WHO YOU ARE


  • University degree (Bachelor’s degree or higher)
  • 5-8 years experience in Seed Production, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Procurement Cross-functional collaboration & communication
  • Ability to take initiative and responsibility
  • High level of analytical and strategic thinking
  • Digitally adept with expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
