Day-to-day activities in the LCL/SCM department revolves around our complex customer solutions.
Activities include coordinating the entire chain of transport from origin to destination,
starting with following up on purchase orders and ensuring timely departure, in case of deviations finding the best alternative solutions, in close collaboration with
colleagues and carriers.
Key responsibilities:
Being responsible to organize own daily operational activities in the team
Manage the chain of transport from origin to destination mostly for LCL cargo or as Control Tower for this customer as per SOP
Coordination with origin colleagues in ensuring timely follow up and reporting of deviations.
Continuous monitoring of “on water” business.
Destination handling and coordination – advising of containers, customs processes, and last mile delivery.
Developing on existing customer solutions.
Project management, continuous improvement and customer implementation.
Maintaining and developing customer relations.
Keeping the internal and customer KPIs on the high level
Follow up on daily reporting and system update
In this role you will also:
Participate and facilitate daily huddles
Continuously identify operational improvements and drive process changes.
Drive improvements forward in the team
Assist with creating reports, general as well as customer specific.
Drive best practice sharing within the team.
Drive effective process or systems implementations.
