About the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT)
The role of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is to advance the interests of Australia and Australians internationally. This involves strengthening Australia’s security, enhancing Australia’s prosperity, delivering an effective and high quality development program and helping Australian travellers and Australians overseas.
The department provides foreign, trade and development policy advice to the Australian Government. DFAT also works with other Australian government agencies to drive coordination of Australia’s pursuit of global, regional and bilateral interests.
About the position
The Office Manager provides high level and strategic corporate services management and provides advice to staff and management on a range of corporate and post management matters. The position holds primary responsibility for finance functions, provides ICT and technical support, oversees procurement, property services and transport, leads on compliance matters and undertakes research and analysis. In addition to being a key point of contact for a broad range of administrative, HR, finance and corporate matters, this position works closely with the Deputy Consul-General to deliver high quality post management and service delivery outcomes.
The position also assists the Consulate-General’s public diplomacy efforts to promote a positive image of Australia, and to strengthen our engagement with Australian affiliated businesses in Bali, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
