Manulife Indonesia Legal Supervisor is responsible for the administration assistance for the Corporate Legal areas including maintaining the legal database within the Company.

We are looking for someone with:

  • University Degree graduated with majoring in Law.
  • Minimum 0-3 years working experience in life insurance industry as Corporate Legal
  • Able to engage and build strong relationship with respective partie
  • Computer proficiency in Words, Excel and Power Point

Nice to Haves:

  • Ability to build and manage relationships with the key internal stakeholders

On the job you will:

Legal Administration

To assist the Sub Head Legal Department and Head of Legal & Compliance in particular of the following work:

a. Legal Administration

  • Daily collection and compiling of requests from Business Unit for legal review, drafting and/or legal advice (“Daily Legal Assignments” or “DLA”);
  • Input each DLA into the Logbook and Job Progress to maintain an accurate tracking of Corpoate Legal Work and proper audit trail concerning the detail of such DLA (types of request, interested parties, date of request, detail of the Contract/Agreement/Letter as well as other legal documents);
  • Deliver the DLA to the Head of Corporate Legal for distribution of work to the members of Corporate Legal;
  • Record keeping with electronic filing of documents including executed Contracts/Agreements which was sent by Business Units into the Legal Database;
  • Continuously pool and collect the original executed Contracts/Agreements from Business Units by sending a reminder;
  • Obtain relevant information from other Business Units;
  • Overseas digital operations including maintaining Sharepoint Contract Database;
  • Alert the Head of Corporate Legal including members of Corporate Legal of issues requiring their immediate attention;
  • Serves as liaison with technical support staff for office equipment; and
  • Ensure efficient and effective administrative information and assistance.

b. Corporate Matters

  • Perform accurate legal research and analysis for any matters related to the DLA;
  • Compile, proofread and revise drafts of Contract/Agreement/Letter/Reports as well as other legal documents;
  • Assist in reviewing Templates Contracts/Agreements;
  • Assist as delegation in attending meetings related to the DLA or any Manulife Indonesia project.

Corporate Secretaries

To assist the Head of Legal & Compliance in particular of the following work:

  • Maintain all legal records, including but not limited to articles of association of all the companies and its amendment and company’s licenses, in line with the internal changes and relevant regulation.
  • Prepare corporate secretarial documentation of all the companies, including but not limited to shareholders’ resolution, board resolution, minutes of meeting, etc.
  • Prepare board meetings of all the companies, including preparing meeting schedule, meetings materials, minutes and other required documents.
  • Prepare fit and proper test for candidate of board members, including coordinating the schedule and preparing materials.
  • Support the business unit in providing legal documents of all companies, e.g. notarial deeds, licenses, statement letter etc.
  • Maintain correspondence with as well as conduct research to the regulator.
  • Liaise with notary for advises and opinion.
  • Prepare and coordinate the issuance Power of Attorney.
  • Update the enactment of new legislation in insurance industry and prepare the summary of the new legislation.

Corporate Matters

To assist the Sub Head Legal Department and Head of Legal & Compliance in particular of the following work:

  • Responsible to maintain corporate agreements related to all departments within the Company.
  • Prepare, review and draft agreement
  • Review tender documents.
  • Conduct legal research –library/document and field research
