About the Role
As our Merchant Strategy & Incubation Project Manager, you’ll be an integral member of the GoMerchant stream at Gojek. Based in Indonesia, you’ll have two main focuses: working with key executive GoTo leaders to develop the organization’s strategic plans and high priority agenda, and incubating new areas of growth to guide our steps forward. You’ll be presented with a unique opportunity to drive high-level strategic and operational roadmaps, take ownership of the new projects and initiatives you’ll enact, and aid millions of our merchant-partners to grow and operate efficiently.

What You Will Do

    • Lead new strategic initiatives from ideation to operationalization
    • Work with key executive leaders to draw up project plans including key success metrics and milestones
    • Support the teams in executing strategies and able to resolve roadblocks to meet the required deliverables on time
    • Co-create value with various stakeholders from GoTo ecosystem i.e. (GoFood, Payments, Commerce Enablement, Financial Services, Advertising) by providing data-driven analysis and recommendations on strategy or product improvements

What You Will Need

    • At least 5 years of experience at a tech company, management consulting firm, in (investment) banking, private equity, or an audit firm
    • Strong structured problem-solving abilities in order to identify issues, form hypotheses, and generate recommendations
    • Sharp analytical skills in order to gather relevant data/information (quantitative and qualitative), and develop and synthesize insights from this pool of data
    • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills to ensure all stipulated business objectives, priorities, and moving parts are met accurately and on time
    • Well-versed in financial and business modeling exercises
    • Excellent written & verbal communication skills focused on improving collaboration, understanding, and information exchange across all stakeholders
    • Ability to learn new things and adapt your priorities quickly within a fast-paced environment
About the Team

Our Strategy & Incubation team is a small family based in Jakarta, Indonesia. You'll be working with key executive GoTo leaders to develop the organization’s strategic plans and high priority agenda, and incubate new areas of growth to guide our steps forward. We are predominantly concerned with helping our merchant-partners grow their businesses and operate efficiently, providing the services, products and tools to see this through.
In the past, our team has worked on several strategic projects, such as developing an all-in-one software & hardware package offering for merchants (GoBiz+) to grow their sales & operate efficiently and created a go-to-market strategy for our hardware sales. Currently, we’re working on mid-to-long term strategic planning for Merchant Platform and incubating foundational projects for future growth opportunities such as merchant wallet, advertising, and 3rd party app marketplace; all in efforts to position Gojek as the most trusted partner for all of our merchant-partners and stakeholders.
