As a Freelance Backend Engineer in Growth Center, you will do the following things:

Build robust, performant, user-facing web applications in Laravel and PHP.

Collaborate with the Product Team and Tech Lead to spec out technical implementation and feasibility of business requests.

Coordinate with other teams as necessary to achieve business requirements and provide technical solutions.

Improve functionality and security of existing systems.

Debug and troubleshoot issues.

Test, maintain, and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.

Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability.
Strong Python and back end development experience.

Hands-on experience with back end technologies, PHP Laravel would be preferable.

Familiarity with front end technologies (such as JavaScript and HTML5).

Experience with relational database modeling and data migration.

Experienced working in a team with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Lean).

Familiarity with search engines and backends (Lucene, Solr).

Experience with infrastructure automation such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, or other relevant technologies will be a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and team player.
