ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
*
Provide thought leadership, technical direction, and mentoring for developers
*
Understands that “architecture” is a living, breathing, fluid thing
*
Supports strategic partners on existing web applications
*
Fosters a team-centric mindset focused on the “whys”
*
Develop solutions spanning both front-end and back-end development frameworks to drive improvements (PHP, Vue.js, Node.js, REACT, etc.)
*
Apply an in-depth understanding of industry methodologies and standards; communicate changes in software architecture and coach others to apply this understanding to software solutions
*
Participate in an Agile development environment
*
Provide strategic insights and reviews of design solutions prior to development
*
Translate custom designs into functional, responsive, cross-browser compatible web experiences
*
Participate in random audits of code reviews to instill the highest level of code quality, ensure best practices are followed, and own the continuous improvement of yourself and the codebase
EXPERIENCE
*
5+ years developing and maintaining modern customer-facing websites
*
Education: B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent experience
*
Experience mentoring junior software developers on architecture, design, testing, automation, and deployment
*
Mastery of JS with a focus on popular frameworks such as: Node, Vue, REACT
*
Expertise with standard REST and RESTful APIs (JSON packet exchange specifically)
*
Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture
*
Previous experience with Python, NoSQL, and AWS
*
Familiarity with start-ups and e-commerce is a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
*
Experience with model-predictive control environments is a plus
*
Skilled in Agile frameworks (SAFe(s), Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
*
Being a true “Team First” oriented developer
*
Believer in the automation of repetitive tasks
*
Familiar with creating automated testing strategies and/or platforms
*
Technical curiosity and willingness to explore beyond your experience
