Position Summary

This position will partner with the footwear material operations team in the HQ USA, China, Hong Kong, and Vietnam offices and be the main conduit to footwear material development and sourcing in Indonesia, ensuring material supplier management, material development and material procurement are in sync with our global objectives. This is an opportunity to build and support the UA Asia region’s operational infrastructure and world-class global footwear material supply chain by encouraging region investment; selecting and developing with global material supply partners. Continuing to create and evolve communication channels between Under Armour and our material and product supply partners and ensuring proper implementation of our Centric PLM material and supplier data and management

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical support for Product Creation, Development, and Engineering Team, including material selection, material problem solving and material cost saving
  • Responsible for material supplier on-boarding, scorecards, quality assurance, material and supplier consolidation and cost negotiation in the Indonesia region
  • Serve as the central point of contact for material vendors, coordinating meetings, and evaluating their relevance to the UA Footwear business
  • Working with HQ and T1, organize and maintain the factory development center material libraries; regularly update and edit the materials for seasonal relevance, costing, and supply chain considerations
  • Input and maintain material information in PLM Database and work closely with account management, development and FDD to ensure data integrity for BOM and all other critical product documentation
  • Collaborate with Development, Sourcing, and Production to ensure all new material developments are properly allocated and tested to meet usage, costing, logistical, and lead time requirements
  • Implement and guide T1 Factory Direct Material Operations (FDMO) and Factory direct Material Quality (FDMQ) roles

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Languages competency: Bahasa Indonesian, English and/or Mandarin to handle international suppliers
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and handle competing priorities
  • Sustainability, social and environmental interest or experience is a plus
  • Comfortable travelling 5-10% of the year
  • Experience working with Illustrator, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Keynote, etc.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems

Education And / Or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and experience with material management, material sourcing, textiles, or supply chain management
  • Experience in textile and synthetic leather, leather, foams and plastics manufacturing, material development, or similar fields with an emphasis on material testing, sourcing, merchandising
