• Plastics: With new technology trends, our plastic additives can be experienced in many everyday items including vinyl, blow-molding bottles, film, rigid containers, PVC plastics, siding, decks and rails, foam pipes and profile formulations, window frames and high-efficiency lubricants.

• Industrial intermediates: As the product of a reaction that is beneficial when used as a precursor chemical for another product, industrial intermediates can take on many shapes and forms. Ours are used in home comfort and appliance, building and construction, adhesives and lubricants, and more.

• Coatings: Whether it’s a water-based coating or solvent-based coating, a thin film is deposited on materials to enhance specific properties such as enhanced performance, durability, aesthetics, and sustainability.

• Silicone businesses: Our silicone-based materials can withstand more demanding applications, from those operating at extreme temperatures, to those under harsh environmental conditions for long periods of time.

About you

You are a team player that requires minimal supervision. You can operate equipment, perform analysis based on plant processes, demonstrate chemical manufacturing expertise, and run or troubleshoot for the plant safely and efficiently.

Also, you can complete each of the following tasks:

• Trains to perform routine analyses under direction of senior team member until proficiency is demonstrated.
• Collects samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Provides evaluation of validity of data for routine analyses and takes appropriate action.
• Monitors analytical systems and escalates problems as appropriate.
• Documents, communicates and archives analytical results and data.
• Follows EH&S and operating discipline management system (ODMS) procedures and practices for work tasks.
• Suggests improvements to lab work processes and tools.
• Escalates non-routine requests to appropriate team member for follow-up.

Required qualifications

We would like you to have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent in chemical analysis
• 3+ years of relevant operations experience in a chemical or manufacturing
• A willingness and ability to work 8-12-hour, rotating shifts
• Experience to operate Gas Chromatograph, HPLC, FTIR, Spectrometer, Conventional Analysis, and Basic Analysis Education: Minimum Graduate in D1 Chemical Analysis

Your skills, knowledge, and abilities include:

• Being proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel
• Demonstrating competencies in the areas of: leadership, initiative, teamwork, and interpersonal effectiveness
• Ensuring a safe work environment by working safely and, complying with environmental, health and safety standards
• Strong work ethic and being able to remain productive in an empowered team environment
