Role Responsibilities
Control Governance
Ensure proper functioning of embedded and periodic controls through the implementation of Control Sample Testing.
Risk Governance
To establish timely resolution or escalation of risk and issues related to CST, KCI and KRI exceptions.
To record operational losses and near misses in the system then assessing the risk and ensuring appropriate mitigating action is implemented.
To monitor progress and track to closure for any actions due from audit issues.
To assist Group Risk & Control (R&C) and Business Unit Head in implementing controls within the Business Unit to meet all regulatory (compliance) and internal policy requirements (OR & FCC) at Business Unit level.
To identify control gaps or risk issues during implementation of day-to-day controls and periodic monitoring activities.
Ensure Business Unit’s adherence to Group and Country DOIs.
Regulatory
Ensure compliance with the Laws of the land, implement and exercise local banking regulations, and build strong relationships with the Central Bank.
Information Technology
Work closely with the IT dept in implementing new or improved software and automate manual processes.
Review maintains passwords and keys to sensitive system for closer monitoring.
Our Ideal Candidate
A business graduate is preferred with ability work under stretched condition in terms of meeting SLA with customer and other stakeholders.
A sound PC operation and good communication skills are needed in this role.
The candidate should possess the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative to drive and implement the objectives of the R&C team as and when new directives are issued.
