Site VPS Manager - ( 21000DM2 )

Missions:


Member of the Site / Plant Steering Committee, the Site / Plant VPS Manager is in charge of monitoring the internal production standards and lead the kaizen activities of the internal flows of the plant/site on which he/she is permanently based.


  • Principal mission of the position :

    • VPS COMPETENCES

      • Develop competences of all appropriate people of the Site / Plant about :

        • 5S & Product respect.

        • Reduction of equipments losses.

        • Direct Labor efficiency.

        • Scrap reduction.

        • WIP reduction.

        • Lean industrialization.

        • VSA.

to become autonomous in continuous improvement management.


  • Manage the network of VPS APU.

  • VPS STRATEGIES

    • Propose to the Site / Plant Manager the internal VPS strategy of the Site / Plant.

    • Ensure that the VPS rules are taken into account in new projects during validation of each phase.

    • Help Site / Plant Manager to manage continuous improvement.

    • Monitor the whole VPS axis deployment.

    • Manage the production roadmaps.

  • VPS GENBA ACTIVITIES


For the 7 fields of competences listed above :


  • Deploy VPS standards & best practices within the Site / Plant.

  • Make sure that Group VPS standards are fully applied on the Site / Plant.

  • Detect abnormalities vs. VPS standards.

  • React to identify root cause and come back to standard.

  • VPS RESULTS

    • Manage the VPS budget.

    • Manage the results of the production roadmap.

    • Manage the results about the 7 fields of competences listed above :

      • Implement the management of the daily results.

      • Lead the weekly & monthly results and associated TOP improvement plans.

  • Group VPS CONTRIBUTION

    • Develop and share specific expertise with Site / Plant VPS Managers of the region.

    • Support Group VPS Manager for the benchmark of the local knowledge

  • Highlight the main responsibilities

    • VPS COMPETENCES

  • Organize trainings for 5S, Product respect, TPM, SMED, Hoshin, STOP SCRAP, VSA, Kanban, Continuous flow, lean industrialisation in accordance to Plant / Site priorities.

  • Assess the VPS standards are applied properly.

  • Permanently promote the VPS principles.

  • Organize daily meetings with internal VPS network.

  • Perform annual professional competences appraisal.

  • Validate the SDP of APU VPS, if any.

    • VPS STRATEGIES

  • Attend to Site / Plant Project Validation Committee and validate Full Production Days.

  • Challenge the VPS design specification check list & the systematic lean investment approach in each phase.

  • Help the Site / Plant Manager to keep a continuous improvement mindset, behaviour & policy whatever the operational situation.

  • Support for the internal physical flows the Site / Plant Manager for VSA master plan, propose the yearly workshops list.

  • Ensure VPS deployment (VPS V5000, standards, workshops, and Group initiatives) in all APUs and Logistic department.

    • VPS GENBA ACTIVITIES

      • Do OJT to coach APU VPS engineers/technicians & Site / Plant members on application of VPS tools and methodologies.

      • Permanently help APU Managers to detect and react to non-conformances against VPS standards.

      • Lead permanently workshops.

      • Lead pilot workshops for new VPS methodology for the site.

      • Ensure the management of the maintenance of VPS tools through appropriate audits.

      • Prepare & organize the weekly Site / Plant VPS committee, including agenda proposal, lead by the Site / Plant Manager, and write the minute.

    • Group VPS and Region SSC CONTRIBUTION

      • Accelerate Plant / Site progress through APU & Supply Chain best practices sharing and deployment of best practices from outside the Site / Plant.

    • VPS RESULTS

  • Prepare the Site / Plant budget concerning VPS targets.

  • Support APU VPS engineers/technicians and workshop pilots on results achievement and associated action plan.

  • Manage the building of the tools to daily monitor the results.

  • Ensure a lean reporting.

  • Engineer , technician or equivalent

  • 3 years with demonstrated success validated in yearly appraisal in manufacturing and /or supply chain experience plus lean training.

  • Expert in Production Systems tools


  • Proactive, convincing, persistent, pragmatic,


    facilitator and trainer


  • Fluent English


  • Local Language
