Job Summary
Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Technical Advisor Rock Tools, based in Freeport. The role is responsible for ensuring the effective management of specific Sandvik rock tool contracts within a designated region. This includes the effective and successful management of contracts personnel, contract efficiencies, quality control, environment health & safety, financial targets, contract KPI’s, maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring that service levels are sufficient to continually demonstrate the value of Sandvik products and services to our customers .
As the Technical Advisor Rock Tools, you will be responsible for:
Conducting yourself in accordance with our EHS Vision to achieve Zero Harm to; our people, the environment we work in, our customers and our suppliers
Lead the Contract team to deliver effective contract management and contract controls, including defining and overseeing key contract metrics, financial targets, work scope, consistent ways of working, EHS standards and the efficient management of contracts personnel.
Collaborate with Rock Tools EHS Manager for EHS initiatives, training requirements, specific customer requirements, policies and procedures
Ensure that all purchasing processes processed via Contract team adhere to Sandvik’s Procurement Policy & Standards.
Support the Rock Tools Business Improvement function in reviewing, analysing and improving efficiency and effectiveness of processes on Contracts Management and Contract Administration.
Collaborate with Rock Tools product & applications team for in the most appropriate product selection, technical support, product trials, product training and warranty.
Collaboration and customer support at regular customer meetings, being the 1st point of contact and delivering presentations & reports as per contract requirements.
Act in line with the Sandvik Way and Leadership Model to set ambitious targets and develop people to reach the business objectives.
Make informed decisions aligned with Business strategy and Group policies and frameworks.

Your profile
Previous e xperience in contracts management, continuous improvement and/or Customer Relationship Management role
Formal University qualification e.g. Bachelor of Business Management
Experience in Mining, Construction or Engineering industries
Previous Leadership experience in managing a highly effective team.
Proven ability to engage, influence and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders to deliver results
High level of drive and determination to achieve goals and targets set for customer satisfaction
Excellent skills in documentation, report writing and preparation of presentations
