Project Manager – Compressor Technique


Job description:

Project Delivery
  • Lead the delivery of complex product development projects
  • Create, monitor, and direct the project plan, project schedule, project costs and deliverables to ensure a project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality
  • Consistently review and manage project risk, and implement change, using appropriate tools and techniques with an emphasis on transparency
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities within new project development framework


Stakeholder Management:
  • Be the conduit for the Client and the organization, ensuring that communication is clear and concise
  • With the support of the relevant operational leaders, ensure a project is appropriately resourced and that project team performance is consistently reviewed
  • Report on project progress, in both written form and in verbal presentation, at a local project, Business Line Manager and CT General Manager, as required
  • Act as the mediator in the resolution of conflicts within a project, with an emphasis on leadership, diplomacy, and peacebuilding


Project Organization:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure project KPIs are managed and up to date
  • Continuously evolve project management competence within the business through the implementation of new ideas for improved project delivery and performance, etc
  • Define, develop, and train appropriate project management principles, processes, tools and techniques


A. ON PROPOSAL stage

a) Together with Sales Engineer, Product Manager and Project Engineer to review customer RFQ in order to determine the clarity of enquiries (suitable products to be proposed, technical specifications, deviation list and external services might be needed)
b) List and analyze scope of documentation to be supplied within the contract execution
c) Ensure complete costing of project including contract handling related costs
d) Provide technical assistance throughout the sales process as required
e) Participate on Product presentations, Training, and related technical presentations to customers and/or contractors


B. DURING CONTRACT

a) Careful contract review from both technical and commercial aspects. Identify, address and propose solution to any discrepancies between contract and agreed offer.
b) Work closely with sales/proposal engineer to ensure signed purchase order acknowledgment is in line with final proposal/ sales agreement
c) Ability to handle multiple contracts at same time and manage technical/ clarification questions
d) Participate in kick off meetings for custom designed compressed air package projects in coordination with, sales/ proposal engineer, factory, sub-suppliers and local packager
e) Detailed contract and production schedule with monthly project progress report, to ensure overall timely execution
f) Expediting specific purchase orders to factory and sub-suppliers


Experience requirements
  • 15 years’ experience as Project Manager and/or in a project engineering role
  • Direct experience with oil & gas industry and its customers is preferred
  • Experience of motivating and managing a team
  • Good standard of presentation skills
  • Experience with and understanding of commercial terms and conditions
  • Able to build strong & effective working relationships with customers and colleagues
  • In addition, a good knowledge of the compressors industry, and of compressors practices would be advantageous, as well as knowledge of engineering contractors or the engineered products business


Knowledge
  • Good command (verbal and written) of English
  • Solid understanding and mature user of MS Office
  • Strong technical and commercial knowledge of engineered compressed air system.
  • AutoCad experience and being familiar mechanical / structural design soft-wares are plus
  • To be able to read pneumatic / hydraulic flow diagrams and general arrangement drawings
  • Must be able to understand the electrical drawings


Educational requirements
University degree in engineering, preferably mechanical

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Pro-active and a dynamic performer
  • Must be very willing and ready to travel anywhere in Indonesia
  • Good command (verbal and written) of English
