About the Role
As our Quality Engineer on our GoFood team, you'll take the wheel in designing, testing, and rolling out new features for our GoFood platform. Focusing particularly on native mobile apps, you'll get to design more effective and innovative ways to break software, identify weak points in the current systems, and devise solutions to bolster these features from the inside out. Working closely with the Product team, including their PMs, designers, developers, and other QA talents, you'll help the team establish stellar software design, promote proper engineering practices, bolster bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy, and other advanced quality concepts across application areas our food delivery product and services.


What You Will Do

    • Work closely with the Product team (including PMs, designers, developers, and QA talents) from the inception of features; design new and enhance existing test suites based on business requirements
    • Execute the test cases and report relevant issues to relevant stakeholders
    • Own communication throughout the sprint/release cycle
    • Own the quality and delivery of features
    • Design, implement, and maintain functional test automation at different product layers, viz. services, and UI layers
    • Analyze and suggest improvements for the testing process/tools/technologies and release cycle
    • Work vertically on each feature to test the server-side business logic and the user experience and flows on UI (Mobile Application)
    • Test the features on both OS, Android and iOS. Work with Business Analysts and perform analytical tests

What You Will Need

    • At least 2 years of experience in professional testing
    • Hands-on experience using API testing techniques and tools
    • Working knowledge of mobile testing
    • Experience with test automation using any language (preferably JAVA, Kotlin)
    • Experience building tools like maven and gradle
    • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, gitlab, circleci
    • Understanding of core business logic, algorithms, and datasets; able to perform low-level System and Data Analysis
    • Working knowledge of SCM (Git/SVN).\; Experience with open source automation libraries like Selenium, Rest Assured, Appium
