  • Agency and Staff Training – Supports Agency and Staff training in terms of both content and delivery of training for agency, agent and staff leaders on investment subjects. This is a "Trainer of Trainer" role where the Investment Management shares expertise with relevant PSLA staff who interact with agents and customers (eg RADD's/AE, Coach, Customer Service staff). Ensure that the subject matter is relevant, understood by the customer and not misleading or inappropriate.
  • Investment Communications – Responsible for the content and quality control of investment communication materials (e.g. Unit Link Annual Report, Quarterly newsletters to customers & agencies, company website, agency training materials, product brochures. Ensure communication delivered to agencies and customers regarding investment is consistent, properly aligned and approved by management.
  • Monthly Investment Reports for Management and Sharia Supervisory Board – Prepare written investment reports for management in terms of investment performance, investment composition, market analysis, changes/proposed changes to investment regulations, etc. The report must not duplicate the reports and information by EII and must not take advantage of it. Information efficiently without duplication. Factors such as PSLA customer expectations, product requirements, Indonesian market, and competitor performance should be considered in the report. Investment performance should be compared with the results of alternative products in the market by analysis of reasons/cause variations. The information can then be used during the agent training process.
  • Local Regulators – Maintain relationships with local regulators (eg OJK for insurance and Capital Market regulators). Monitor PSLA investments and ensure compliance with OJK regulations.
  • Relations with the investment community - Maintain and develop networks with fund managers, brokers, bankers, custodians, investment associations, AAJI in Indonesia. Be well informed in the local market about new developments and assist PSLA in terms of being in a position of influence.
Authority:
  • Use approximate figures to prepare research reports or presentations.
  • Assist with research and analysis that supports recommendations for new investment policies and changes to existing policies.
  • Communicating investment strategy with Investment Manager
  • Handling questions during market update presentations or teleconferences
Job specifications: Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from University in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Accounting
  • Have an active Investment Manager Representative license from the Capital Market regulator.
  • Excellent knowledge in Investment & Finance
Experience
  • 7 years of working experience in portfolio management/ stock analysis/ fixed income analysis or investment specialist in Insurance/ Investment companies
Competence
  • Good command of English
  • Good analytical report writing skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of trends and developments in capital & investment markets
